You’ll be billed automatically, and can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your account.

What does the service include?

The service includes continuous medical support for weight loss, updated prescriptions, and assistance with insurance coverage (and re-authorization).

Will my information be kept confidential?

Yes, your medical information and order history are only accessible to our medical team and physicians. Please see our Privacy Policy for further details.

How does the process work?

  • Step 1: Complete the Questionnaire. First, you will asked to complete our questionnaire. This is required to make sure that our services are the best fit for your needs.
  • Step 2: Proceed to Checkout Once complete, you will be asked to provide payment information so that we can process your subscription.
  • Step 3: Doctor’s Review A licensed physician will review your questionnaire to determine your eligibility for insurance-covered medication.
  • Step 4: Next Steps
  • If you're found eligible after our insurance coverage assessment, you may already have the necessary documentation from prior medical visits. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know exactly what records are needed to support insurance approval and guide you through how to submit them.

If additional lab tests, medical exams, or documentation are required, our team will provide clear guidance. In many cases, these are covered by insurance. If not, we’ll explain any potential out-of-pocket costs upfront—before you move forward. When possible, we’ll also help coordinate scheduling through our preferred providers.

If you’re not found to be eligible for insurance coverage, but a GLP-1 medication is appropriate for your care, you will have two options:

    1. We can still prescribe the best medication for you and help you get it at the lowest possible self-pay price, or
    2. You can choose to have your subscription canceled and your payment fully refunded.

How does the online doctor interaction work?

After your membership is approved, our team will review your information and in some cases, ask that you schedule a video call with one of our partnered doctors. You’ll receive a message with the appointment details and a secure link to join the call. During the consultation, the doctor will discuss your medical history, assess your eligibility for GLP-1 treatment, and may recommend additional tests if needed. If approved, a prescription will be issued and we will assist with insurance coverage, as well as regular follow-up and reauthorization.

Do I need a prior diagnosis to get approved?

No. When you speak with the doctor, they will help determine if you have a likely path to insurance coverage. The goal of the medical evaluation and assessment is to identify and facilitate your best options based on your history.

What are GLP-1 medications and who are they for?

GLP-1 medications are a prescription drug that mimic a natural hormone in your body called glucagon-like peptide-1. This hormone helps regulate blood sugar levels, slows down how quickly your stomach empties, and supports feelings of fullness after eating. GLP-1 medications are approved for adults with type 2 diabetes and, in many cases, for those who are overweight and have related health conditions (like heart disease or sleep apnea). They’re not a fit for everyone, and a physician can help determine what’s best.

How do I know if I’m eligible for GLP-1 treatment?

You may be eligible for GLP-1 treatment if you meet the following criteria:

  • You have type 2 diabetes and need help managing your blood sugar.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher (classified as obesity).
  • You have a BMI of 27 or higher and also have a weight-related condition like heart disease, or sleep apnea.
  • You have a history of obesity or being overweight and are maintaining a healthy weight thanks to GLP-1 medication.

Remember that eligibility and insurance coverage do not always go hand-in-hand. Each insurance company has different rules and requirements, and we will help you navigate those as efficiently as possible.

Also, GLP-1 medications are not right for everyone. Our medical team will review your medical history, symptoms, and goals to determine if GLP-1 therapy is a safe and appropriate option for you.

What kind of medication can be prescribed?

Our licensed providers can prescribe any FDA-approved GLP-1 medication, including popular options like Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, Zepbound® and others, depending on your medical needs and insurance coverage.

Will my insurance cover GLP-1 medications?

GLP-1 coverage depends on your insurance plan—but contrary to popular belief, many plans do cover these medications for eligible patients. If you're eligible, we’ll help you take full advantage of the benefits you’re already paying for. Our goal is to make it easier to get the coverage you deserve.

How do you verify my insurance coverage?

Once you provide your insurance information, our team will check if GLP-1 medications are covered under your plan, and confirm if a prior authorization is required. Because every insurance company and plan is different, we will help you navigate the entire process based on your individual needs.

What happens if my insurance doesn’t cover the medication?

If your insurance denies coverage, you will have two options:

  1. We can still prescribe the best medication for you and help you get it at the lowest possible self-pay price, or
  2. You can choose to have your subscription canceled and your payment fully refunded.

Can you help me get coverage if I was initially denied?

Yes! Our goal is to provide you with a full evaluation of your medical history to identify the best pathways to insurance coverage. For some people, that may be identifying testing that will not only help you get treatment for something previously not diagnosed, but also get you access to medication that can help you live a longer, healthier life.

Why might I need additional tests to qualify for coverage?

If a pathway to coverage is discovered that requires additional testing, our physicians will help you arrange the testing you need to meet your insurance plan’s requirements.

Do I get a refund if the medication isn’t covered by insurance?

Yes you will have the option for a refund. If your insurance denies coverage, you will have two options:

  • You can choose to have your subscription canceled and your payment fully refunded.
  • We can still prescribe the best medication for you and help you get it at the lowest possible self-pay price.

If we’re unable to get your GLP-1 medication covered by your insurance after completing the necessary steps, you’ll receive a full refund for our service. We’re committed to making this process risk-free for you.

How long does it take to receive a refund?

Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. You'll receive a confirmation email once the refund has been issued.

What does the monthly subscription include?

The monthly subscription includes continuous medical support for weight loss, updated prescriptions, and assistance with periodic re-authorizations for insurance coverage.

How often will I need a new prescription?

The need for and frequency of re-authorization is based upon the requirements of your specific insurance company and plan. We’ll help you with whatever unique needs your plan presents throughout the entire process.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Katherine Cary account.

Is the subscription required to keep receiving medication?

Yes, only those with an active subscription will be eligible to receive re-authorization by our physicians, which is required to maintain the insurance-coverage of your medication.

What kind of tests might I be asked to undergo?

Depending on your insurance plan’s requirements, you may need blood testing, a sleep study (usually in the comfort of your home), cardiac imaging, or other advanced testing. We will always make this process as cost-effective and convenient as possible.

Where can I complete the required testing?

If additional testing is recommended in your case, our medical team will help to connect you with one of our preferred providers. Much of this testing can be done in the comfort of your home, and all testing can be done at a location convenient to you.

How do I submit my test results?

You will be able to upload your test results to our physician's HIPAA compliant portal for review.

How much does testing cost?

Testing varies by each patient. We will often attempt to rely on your medical history and exiting medical testing you have conducted. However, sometimes insurance companies will require additional testing. If you require additional testing, we will attempt to have insurance cover the costs. Testing can typically cost anywhere from several dollars to several hundred dollars at most. We will pre-approve any testing with you in advance. If you choose not to conduct testing and as a result do not get covered, we will refund your membership cost.

Is my medical and insurance information secure?

Yes. We take your privacy and data security very seriously. All medical and insurance information you provide is encrypted and stored, in compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations. Only physicians and team members who are involved in your care will have access to your information.

Are your doctors licensed and qualified to prescribe GLP-1 medications?

All of our doctors are licensed and qualified with experience in prescribing GLP-1 medications. They follow accepted medical guidelines to ensure treatment is safe, appropriate, and personalized to your health needs.
